"You Weren't Meant to be Human" is a horror novel by Andrew Joseph White. The book follows Crane, a transgender man, as he navigates being pregnant while living with his "chosen family", The Hive.
The idea for this redesigned cover was based on The Hive, which is a hive of worm-like creatures that seek humans to do their bidding. I wanted the cover to reflect the feelings of the main character: The Hive seeps into your body, down into your bones until it feels as though there is nothing left.
